Hey there my awesome readers,
I know its been like really long since I've come up with a post, so I fell kinda bad that my update - after such a long while - would be an artwork post. But anyway, for the past 2 or 3 weeks I've been working on a set of art-pieces that centre around the the lineup of Disney's Princesses, now I know there are TONS of princesses in Disney and indeed some of them have been excluded from the original lineup (Pocahontas for instance) while others, of non-royal heritage have been included (such as Mulan) I picked only six of what I consider the "classic" princesses for my artwork, the reason being that the stories of these Disney Princesses have always been one about dreams coming true, they are stories tha remind us that it is okay to dream and that, with a little bit of faith and a little bit of hard work all of our dreams can come true as well, and I thought that all of that was most embodied in the mythos of these six princesses and their songs, which make up my Happily Ever After lineup.
So without further ado, my Happily Ever After series. *p.s click on the links if u want to hear the songs*
The first princess is, of course Snow White (incidentally the first Disney Princess as well) and her story is about optimism and faith. Despite the hardships she had to endure, Snow White is the embodiment of positive thinking, and that if we only have a little faith, we are already halfway to our destinations. Her theme song is Someday my Prince Will Come.
The second princess in my lineup is non-other than Cinderella. To me, Cinderella is the embodiment of perserverence. She shows us that no matter how much we suffer, no matter what we go through in life, we only need to remind ourselves of our goals and dreams and strive onward to them and never give up. Her theme song is A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes. 
And then we come to the lovely Aurora, the third princess in my lineup. Aurora is the princess of, not surprisingly, dreams. As the sleeping beauty, Aurora is the embodiment of the importance of dreaming in part of our lives. She tells us that sometimes the biggest difference between living and death is the ability to dream and the ability to hope. Aurora's theme song is Once upon a Dream
Princess Ariel, incidentally my favourite of all the Disney Princess is a little mermaid with a big passion and a fighting spirit. Longing to be part of a world entirely alien from her own, Ariel is the embodiment of the fighting spirit it takes to chase down one's own ambitions, no matter what others may tell you, or no matter how impossible they may seem. Ariel's song is Part of Your World.
At number five is Princess Jasmine. Princess Jasmine is a bold and feisty character, though raised to be a demure and dainty woman she is not afraid to speak out against what she believes is wrong and as such, Princess Jasmine is the embodiment of Courage, courage to speak out and stand up for what is right even when everyone else around you may be acting otherwise. Princess Jasmine sings for A Whole New World 
And last, but most certainly not least in my Happily Ever After Disney Princess lineup is Princess Belle, though not of royal birth herself Belle became a princess by virtue of marriage to the handsome prince who was once a hideous and ferocious beast. But it is precisely because of Belle's caring and her innate ability to see the inner beauty in all things that broke the curse upon the Beast and his castle and as such Belle is the embodiment of inner-beauty, and also the ability to see that beauty in all other creatures in this world. Her song is Beauty and the BeastAnd to top it off for all of you, and because, dear readers I like you all very much, here's a video of a song that was sang by Ariel but deleted from the original soundtrack and The Little Mermaid movie. Not sure if any of you heard this before but there you go:
