The very idea that our very physical being and surroundings that are connected to a disembodied and greater part of us know as the mind. Typically, because we can reason and question who we are, we, as people exist. The plant, of course, technically does not exist within itself because it cannot think (of course this may or may not actually be true, but you get the point). Because the plant is not concious the way people or animals may be, the plant has no identity. To say "I am" refers often to a sense of identity placement, a process that is both facillitated by and constitutive of the cognitive process. Therefore, because a plant does not have a mind, how can it within itself exist?
And perhaps same can be said of our surrounding objects. That things, the table your phone is resting on, the chair you're sitting on, all exist simply because that is the way our minds make sense of our surrounding. The very philosphical question, if a tree falls somewhere far away in the forest, where there is no one to hear it. Will it make any sound? Now of course some of you might disregard completely as a stupid question. After all, the fall of a tree would generate vibrations in the air that are THEN percieved as "sound" by our ears and minds. However, if there were no one to pick up those vibrations, no one and nothing, would it be sound?

PEACE OUT
