...Yet, do thy worst, old Time: despite thy wrong,
my love shall in my verse ever live young.

    Flight's Cancelled

    Hey ya'll

Looks like my outback adventures have been put on hold, for now. Turns out that a slight change in university subjects has required me to stay on for yet another year before flying off down under.

All at once my dreams came plummeting down like poor poor Icarus on his overconfident soar toward the sun. Yet, I suppose being brought back down to earth isn't proving to such a drawback after all. In fact, things seem to be working out just fine, actually, exactly the way it should.

I won't pretend that I'm not dissapointed that I can no longer go to Australia, but at the same time, I won't pretend that I wouldn't be dissapointed if I went either. There is an issue, you see, about wanting so badly to be more active in University events, for example the "Save the Whales" thing that I have planned for COSTA, and possibly MPAC this semester, as well as yet another opportunity to star in another one of Bagus's grand masterpieces (though I'm hoping it will be something lighter this year) not to mention an extra 12 months to hang out with some of the most awesome people in the world...

still, it would have been nice to finally experience a taste of responsibility and independance (and I mean in such a way where there's no well-meaning mother nagging at you to remind you of your duties ever five minutes). This part, I know many people say it's not as it is cut out to be but to be completely honest, despite nightmarish thoughts of paying for my own bills, I am having a little problem believing that. After all, wouldn't a taste of freedom be worth any inconveniences thrown in one's way? Well, apparently not. And apparently it is something I have got to experience first hand to accept and/or believe.

So, all in all, despite this little drawback that the Universe has sought to throw at me, I think this year will turn out to be pretty spectacular in itself. After all, if you think about it, this is the first time of my life that I will actually belong to a "clique". One which, I am proud to admit, are already having no problems keeping it real with each other...though for the others' benefit, I hope things do not get entirely too testy. Now, this part, at least, should be interesting!

Catch you guys next time then,

    PEACE OUT
