...Stranded Verses

...Yet, do thy worst, old Time: despite thy wrong,
my love shall in my verse ever live young.

    The Nature of Revenge
    by Zee bo Bee

Sometimes the randomest things that you do,
can come back later in life to inflict torment upon you,
becuase that's the funny little thing about life,
that anything big or small - be it joy or strife
will cause a chain of events in the world - somewhere,
and though for a time will not stir even a hair,
will find its way back without much of a sound,
for what goes around will soon come around.

Take for example the butterfly over there,
flitting around without much of a care,
soon to be caught by a small little boy
to be tormented and tossed like quaint pretty toy.
But remember the wind from its wings when it flew?
Well, it floated around the world and it grew and it grew
Until one day it returned to the home of the boy,
a hurricane that tossed him around as though he were the toy!

You may perhaps think it's cruel and he didn't deserve so,
but let me tell you my friends that that's how the world rolls.
You may perhaps think that that was quite uncalled for,
but do what you must, and be prepared to reap what's in store!
because intensity and appropriateness are subjective I say,
in fact I believe we should always keep them that way.
So remember now creep of all those times you've wronged me,
and call me when they return for that's something I'll want to see.

    PEACE OUT
