Everything and Nothing
Hey ya'll,
Hey ya'll,
let me tell you something:
the best part of life, is probably the in-between stage, where there is a fleeting sense of some sort of peace. A peace that we know will soon dissipate, and so we treasure and savour each moment, second, more than we usually would.
And so, every waking moment seems more enjoyable than it probably is, if only because of the possibility that everything is about the change.
Anyway, here's a little something that we might all take lesson of.
Plain Old Oyster
author unknown
There was once an oyster whose story I tell,
who found that some sand had got into his shell,
it was only a grain but it gave him great pain,
for oysters have feelings although they're so plain.
Now, did he berate the harsh workings of fate
Now, did he berate the harsh workings of fate
that had brought him to such a deplorable state?
"No!" He said to himself, "since I cannot remove it,"
"No!" He said to himself, "since I cannot remove it,"
"I'll lie in my shell, and think how to improve it!",
Now the years rolled around, as the years always do,
Now the years rolled around, as the years always do,
and he came to his ultimate destiny --stew
And the small grain of sand that had bothered him so
And the small grain of sand that had bothered him so
was a beautiful pearl all richly aglow.
THis tale has a morale, for isn't it grand,
what an oyster can do with a morsel of sand?
Think...what could we do, if we'd only begin,
Think...what could we do, if we'd only begin,
with some of the things that get under our skin?

Peace Out

Peace Out
