Finally getting somewhere with this essay! Found out that my piece on the Mermaid and her cultural represenations was supposed to be 3000 words long, not 2500 so I'm like in deep shit, but you know...one shit at a time. ^^ hahaha I just had a little vulgar thought which I shall not share with you all here!
But there IS something I will share and its about my little dog, Buffy. She's an alert little thing. Slightest noise, slightest disturbance and she's up and on her guard. Same goes with sleeping. Its a very rare thing, to see her asleep, because the moment she senses movement, the moment there's a little tremor of vibration on our wooden floor, she picks up on it and opens her eyes to stare, which is more than I can say for my other little dog, Blossom a.k.a Princess (to me only lah!) who would just sleep, even when I pick her up (something to do with the fact that I was very close to her from her puppy days). But anyway, for the first time today I saw Buffy sleeping. Sleeping, her eyes closed. Apparently she's been barking herself silly all day chasing a stray feather around the house. Poor thing must've used up her energy reserve. But yes, I saw her sleeping, which may not sound momentous to you perhaps but if you think about it, to have lived with her in my life for over seven years and to have not seen her in deep sleep and finally do...well, its something I suppose. She looks funny though. Almost like there's something missing in her face. I think its her eyes. She looks like a undistinguishable mass of fur. But oh wait, she's starting to stir now. Perhaps the sound of me typing is disturbing her slumber. So I shall leave you now, to your nightly activities, and Buffy, to her sleep.
Goodnight everyone.
